Ranger Alert ("we", "us") provides real-time fire incident lead intelligence for restoration and claims professionals. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Collect
- Account data: email address, name, and company name when you register.
- Usage data: the leads you view, save, or act on, and the markets you subscribe to.
- Payment data: subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your card number.
- Location data: only when you tap "locate me" on the map, to recenter on your position. It is not tracked or stored.
- Device data: push notification tokens, only if you enable fire alerts.
How We Use Your Information
- Deliver real-time fire lead intelligence for your subscribed markets.
- Process subscriptions and manage your access via Apple.
- Send push notifications for new qualifying incidents (if enabled).
- Operate, secure, and improve the service.
Third-Party Services
- Apple: subscription billing and Sign in with Apple.
- Supabase: database hosting (US region).
- Mapbox: map tiles and imagery.
Data Retention
Fire incident data older than 90 days is automatically deleted. Account data is retained until you delete your account, which you can do at any time from Settings.
Your Rights
- Access your data within the app.
- Delete your account and associated personal data from Settings.
- Disable push notifications at any time.
Property Owner Data
Ranger Alert surfaces public incident locations and publicly-recorded property data only. We do not sell or expose property owners' personal information.
Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed; access tokens are stored in the device Keychain. API keys are kept server-side only.
