Ranger Alert ("we", "us", "our") operates the Ranger Alert platform at rangeralert.com. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Account data: Email address, name, company name when you register
Usage data: Fire leads you view, save, or unlock; cities you subscribe to
Payment data: Processed by Stripe — we never store credit card numbers
Location data: Only when you enable "Near Me" — used to show nearby fires
Device data: Push notification tokens for fire alerts (if enabled)

How We Use Your Information

Deliver real-time fire lead intelligence for your subscribed cities
Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
Send push notifications for new fire incidents (if enabled)
Improve the platform and fix issues

Third-Party Services

Supabase: Database hosting (US East, AWS)
Stripe: Payment processing
Mapbox: Map rendering
Google Maps: Geocoding and Street View imagery

Data Retention

Fire incident data older than 90 days is automatically deleted. Account data is retained until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app.

Your Rights

Access: View your data in the app
Export: Download all your data from Settings
Delete: Delete your account and all associated data from Settings
Opt out: Disable push notifications at any time

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. API keys are stored server-side only.
